Snowboard Gear

This morning I went to the Ski Swap at the Dobson Arena in Lionshead and bought myself Snowboard softboots, goggles, a new jacket and pants, as well as a new sweater and some snowboarding socks. I am so happy now, hopefully I will be able to use all that soon! :D

Just a normal Colorado october day

Waking up this morning I found that the mountains were covered in snow, thick flakes were coming down from the skies and everything felt kind of christmassy (except for the missing decorations of course. But hey, I am German and not used to snow in october!) So here are a few pictures that I took on the way to work this morning at 6:15am....

New stuff!

It has been snowing when i woke up at 8:00 this morning and so far there is no end in sight. It's not the first time this month that it's snowing, but it's the first time that it is so bad that we can't see the mountains from our apartment...Needless to say everybody is really excited about the snow and Paul (one of our night audits) has already been snowboarding at A-Basin. Looks like it's not gonna be long before I will hit the slopes for the first time, too :)

Just gotta get skis now...

On another note, I got new furniture! Jeff's and Melanie's neighbour Jim moved out this week and gave me a couple of things for free. It is nice to actually have furniture in my room now ;) Now all I am still waiting for is the sofa for the living room that the Sonnenalp will hopefully give to me by the end of the month...

Big Horn Trail

Logan and I went for a little hike with Tasha today. The trees are so colourful...it was beautiful! The only thing is that the air is getting kind of thin up there (around 9000 ft) so I got out of breath very quickly. But the views were worth it :)

Snow!

I woke up yesterday to the first snow of the year. But it all melted during the day and in the afternoon it was so warm we walked around in t-shirts....
